"I was introduced to Toastmasters through a friend. This friend had gone through the Toastmaster program and went on to start a well- known company that specializes in training companies on how to run effective board meetings and to communicate effectively.

Of course, not everyone joins for this purpose. Most join to develop communication skills that they can incorporate into their everyday lives on a business or personal level

Toastmasters helps develops the skills and self- confidence needed to run an effective meeting, and learn communication, listening, and leadership skills. It also develops your impromptu speaking skills, the ability to think on your feet, or as we call it the “elevator speech” for those times when you only have just a few seconds to make an impression on someone or make your opinion heard. These are all skills we need in everyday life, be it for a job interview, making presentations, or enhancing interpersonal relationships.

Toastmasters provides an encouraging and supportive environment in which to develop these skills and to gain self-confidence. Most importantly, we have a lot of FUN!!!!
